Prestigious manufacturer of automotive lighting, requires a QMS (Quality Management Systems) Co-Ordinator to join their busy, established team.  Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, the responsibility of the QMS Co-Ordinator will be for the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) in order to ensure consistent product quality and customer satisfaction.

Successful candidate for the position of QMS Co-Ordinator would possess previous experience within an automotive manufacturing Quality Management environment, a good working knowledge of industry standards ISO9001/14001 and IATF16949 and excellent communication skills (verbal and written). The role of QMS Co-Ordinator is offered as a permanent contract with competitive salary, attractive company benefits and immediate start.

QMS Co-Ordinator responsibilities include:

  • Maintain Quality Management System conforming to requirements of ISO9001:2015 / IATF 16949:2016 / ISO14001
  • Administer Internal Auditing Schedule
  • Record, report and administer non-conformances and corrective actions and report to management
  • Facilitate internal/external audits to maintain certifications
  • Maintain accurate assessments of audits and performance
  • Maintain accurate information about legislation compliance performance on central database
  • Deliver periodical return of data to appropriate agencies in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Execute and report to the leadership team on the performance measurement of the QMS
  • Liaison with all support functions
  • Communication and Presentations, directly with Internal and External teams
  • Be aware of statutory requirements affecting the company and have necessary competence, resources and support from the Board/Senior Management to ensure full implementation
  • Ensure all employees are aware of and instructed in their responsibilities as imposed by legislation and management
  • Responsible for updating Concession Register
  • Schedule and administer the regular Quality Management System review meetings

Skills and attributes required by successful candidate for the role of QMS Co-Ordinator:

  • Auditor Training in at least one of the standards – IATF 16949/ISO9001/ISO14001
  • Be able to work both independently and within a team
  • IT literate (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
  • Ability to demonstrate a flexible working approach
  • Ability to manage own time effectively
  • Attention to detail, methodical and analytical
  • Professional attitude
  • Flexible to travel to customers & suppliers
  • Good time keeping

Location: Redditch, Worcestershire

Hours of Work: Mon to Thurs 8 am – 5 pm, Fri 8am – 1 pm

Salary: £25,000 p.a. - £28,000 p.a. dependent upon experience
